Deep pan brown bread,

As I wrote today earlier, so, today was bread baking day. It was first time I made a brown bread. Usually the bread I have been baked, has been white bread, since it is easier, but I must admit - that bread is very easy. It goes very fast and easy to mix bread dough together and longest time is taken only by baking and you do not have to mostly do nothing. Just higher oven degrees after half a time in oven.

Ingredients to deep pan bread dough:

1 kg rye flour
1 tablespoon bicarbonate
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon anise
1 teaspoon fennel
1 liter a-fil - ( processed sour milk)
3 dl dark syrup

Mix all ingredients together to sticky dough.

Butter up  one ordinary deep pan what comes with oven. Pan has to be buttered very well, because brad grows in height only as much as it is buttered up. I buttered it all totally up.

 Put all that nice sticky dough with fingers to pan and spread it over pan. It would be easier to spread if you make your fingers together with flour.

First put oven to 100 degrees and let bread be there for 45 minutes. After that higher heat to 150 degrees and let bread be another 45 minutes there.

After it had cooled down, we cutted it open and tasted it. And I must say, it tasted very good. I was so happy that it came out. As I told before, I had never done before the dark bread. At least I tried :) And I can try again, when this is ended :)

Butter on and it tasted perfect :)

Weekend so far,

It is another Sunday afternoon and we are back at home. It has been really nice weekend what we both have enjoyed. Yesterday we visited friends in Hällekis and later we had good time at home in my soon father-in-law place. Yesterday I also got my long waited cake :) And it was full of chocolate. Something what I am really liking :)

Yesterday evening I also got a small nice present from Tommy´s dad. I got a brooch what had belonged to Tommy´s mother. It was a I. I felt so honored to get it, because that came from his heart, since it had belonged to Tommy´s mother. It was very nice from him to give it to me. I was very thankful over it.

Today I also baked a bread. It was long time since I did it last time. It was white bread I have done before, today I tried to make some different kind of bread. Will see what happens and how it comes out. After they are done and cooled bit down, I make some more pictures of them and I will add them also to my blog together with recipes so, that also you all can bake it after, if you are interested. They smell good at least. Home is full of good baking smell and now we are anxious to taste it, that how the end result came out :)

Swedish Eurovision Songcontest part 1,

 

Today started in Sweden a first part out of 6 to find a Swedish song, what will represent Sweden in May on European Songcontest 2011 in Dusseldorf. Usually I don't look it because I don't like it. At least not the first parts when they trying to find the song what should represent Sweden. I must admit that I find it booring. Usually if I look it, then I look the big festival, where all European countries are represented.
Today I am looking it because I am not at home, but I am in my soon father-in-laws home and he seems to like to look it.
So far the songs what have been showed, I feel like one might have a small potential, but others have not after my opinion. Now will see how sounds melody nr. 7. Beginning is not not the best.

Weekend can begin,

It is again Friday and weekend can begin. It feels good, that we can relax bit even thought this will be another weekend, when we are not at home :)

Today afternoon we will go and make a small weekend trip to my soon to be father-in-law. It will be nice to go visit him again, since my dear fiancée has a problem :) It is not a bad, but it is a good problem. Since he holds me more than he holds Tommy and on the other hand, if is very fair, since my family holds Tommy a lot. That shows, that life has some balance. Balance is needed, since it holds all in equal and since we spend more time here in Sweden, then that means, I am spoiled and I really love it.

Hopefully we have more luck with weather, not as it has been today. From snow to snow and all other things between it  :) Just hope that weather will be nice and I could make some pictures outside. On the other hand, we will see, what happens, since we also will go visit my fiancée's best man and his family. It will be nice time and visit. Perhaps we make some more planning for our upcoming wedding and perhaps to changing ideas, might make it more better and better :)

 

Now, there is time for me to go and pack my bag for weekend, feed Wille and Greta and when go to my small trip :) I wish all of you, have a nice weekend full of good time at home and with family and friends.

Today came New Year in China and new animal year after the calendar.
Unlike western calendars, the Chinese calendar has names that are repeated every 60 years.  Within the 'Stem-Branch' system is shorter cycle of 12 years denoted by animals and 2011 is the year of the Rabbit.  Actually, this is the Xīn-măo 辛卯 year.  Xīn (Metal) is the eighth of the ten celestial stems and Mao (Rabbit) is the fourth of the twelve terrestrial branches and marks the year of the Rabbit or Hare. Chinese New Year begins according to the Chinese calendar which consists of both Gregorian and lunar-solar calendar systems. Because the track of the new moon changes from year to year, Chinese New Year can begin anytime between late January and mid-February. Will and Guy have researched the place of the rabbit in the Chinese zodiac and this is what we have found for CNY 2011.

Year of the Rabbit - The Legend of the Jade Rabbit.                                                                             In this legend, three fairy sages transformed themselves into pitiful old men and begged for something to eat from a fox, a monkey and a rabbit. The fox and the monkey both had food to give to the old men, but the rabbit, empty-handed, offered his own flesh instead, jumping into a blazing fire to cook himself. The sages were so touched by the rabbit's sacrifice that they let him live in the Moon Palace where he became the "Jade Rabbit."

A Chinese Rabbit Folk Tale
Once upon a time, there was a farmer in the Song State, China. When he was working in a field, he saw a rabbit running past him, then it broke its neck on a tree and died. The farmer grabbed the dead rabbit and made a stew. it was delicious.
After that, the farmer didn't want to work on his field anymore. He just sat next to that same tree and waited for a rabbit to smash itself and die.
Unfortunately, there were no more rabbits after wards and the farmer's field grew nothing but weeds. The moral of this story from China is that nothing can be achieved without either working or paying.
