Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year my Dear Friends and Family! I wish you all lots of happiness and luck! I hope that your year has been wonderful and nice and has been as you self has been liked and wanted it to be! Hopefully New Year will became better for all!

 

Year 2011,

Today is last day of 2011. Year has passed very fast and has been full of different happenings. Some of them are bigger and others are smaller. Some of them have made us happy, some of them has made us sad.

Year started for us with preparations for our wedding. We had our beautiful wedding in the end of April. Now we have said "Yes" do each other. Not much has changed in the feeling. Only my last name was changed and I was need to change all my documents.  Everything else feels the same, since we love each other the same way just as before. We had even our nice small wedding trip to southern part of Sweden and to Öland. It was very nice and very good time.

During that period from January to end of march we went also to preparation course for adoption, since we have thought that we would like to adopt child. So all the year has also went for the meetings with social services. Final result for all those things should be known during march 2012. We both hope that the result will be as we would like. We are just happy that our closest are supporting us on this.

In summer on our vacation, instead traveling, we worked our garden so much we could.  Last owners had 2 dogs and they had made some digging, so we tried to make our garden nice again. We succeed almost with it. Just small part needs to be sewed in spring, since we could not finish the all. It just rained and rained and rained. Mostly no summer at all.
In the autumn, we started to rebuild our company. Before we had trading company and now we have limited company. Big step, but we hope that all will go well for us. Will see in next year how it all will end.

Now in Christmas time, we spent Christmas together with our families. First we was at my father-in-laws home and couple of days after that, we went further to Estonia, from where we came home yesterday. It was so good time. Only problem was, that this time just went so fast. Hopefully next summer and Christmas we can go and spend time with family again. It was something I felt, what was needed.

So, in the end, I can say one thing, that I am satisfied with the year. Even thought, so much I would have wished differently, but in the end, we can't change what faith, future brings with it for Us. Only thing we can hope for is that all things will be well in the end. I just hope quietly in my mind that next year will bring more happiness, more laugh and less tears with it. That we could be more happier towards each other and for family.

Christmas presents,

Now has Santa even visited our home. It has been very nice Santa this year. That must mean, that I have been nice during a year, since I got many nice presents.

One of the present, what I got was Dominion. More about Dominion can be readed in Boardgamegeek.com. I have played that game couple of times before and I have really liked it. So must admit, that I really wanted that game.

The other thing, what we got was a kitchen scale. Now I can bake again. Last one my dear husband braked and it went to dumpster. Now we got new one and that was good. I can make my baguettes again and some other good things.

We got also double waffle iron. One thing my dear wished, since he loves to have sometimes bigger iron, when he bakes waffles. 
I got also accessory bag for my sewing machine things or if I will take my sewing machine with me, for my father-in-law and want to sew or embroider things, since I have taken my sewing machine with me sometimes. So that is very good to use and I am sure that I will take it often with me. Have space even for thread.

Got even straightener and a book about Christmas and bit money what I can use my Estonian trip to buy some more sewing thread for my embroidery machine. That is good :) That means I can buy some more extra thread. Cool :)
I can say, that I am very happy over Christmas presents this year. Santa has been very kind for me. They have been very good and practical presents and they have been presents, what we both have been wanted :) Now, I just have to wait a year to get visit from new Santa :) Christmas is good. I just hope that next year we will have even snow in Christmas eve.
I  hope, that even my husband was happy over the presents. He has spoiled me and I think he deserved the present. The much he has helped both me and my colleague. I just felt, he needed something very special.

Christmas Eve,

It is Christmas Eve. This day has been waited for all year long. I think most children will start to wait it just after they have opened their presents.
Time has just flied. In the morning we visited church yard and after that we have prepared Christmas here at home. Made some food and when had good Christmas Eve lunch.
What Christmas is without Christmas movies? In my mind, no Christmas. So, today we have looked sever Christmas film so far and evening is not over yet.
Christmas here in Sweden has also it's own traditions. Like Donald Duck and his friends and some other same kind of traditions. In the evening we will have some more traditional Christmas food.
Of course, there will be time to open the Christmas presents, what is under the Christmas tree and waiting for us. Santa has been very busy this year.

Tomorrow we will having lunch with all family and after that we will drive home and start to pack for the Monday. In Monday we will having  trip up to Stockholm so that we can take the plane and go to Estonia and visit also my family. That is a trip, what I have waited for long time, since last I met my family was last year in August, so it is time to go visit them as well. It would be also good to introduce for Tommy Christmas traditions in Estonia and as well give him the possibility to taste Christmas food in Estonia :) He has never had that possibility, so it will be good to go and give him possibility to taste it.

Only one thing what I at least is missing on the Christmas time is Snow. I think I am bit spoiled in that way, since I do love the snow and feeling like Christmas is not the same without white beautiful snow. Must hope, that some snow will come there soon! It would be much lighter also outside if there would be the snow down.

Hyundai i40 1.7 CRDi

Yesterday we drove again with this years Lucia girls. That gave also us possibility to drive with new car, since every year we get cars we drive girls with, from Holmgrens Bil in Jönköping.
This year, I could drive with new Hyundai i40. Last year I drove also with an Hyundai and I liked it, this years car was also very good one. Just in the beginning it needed bit to get used to with it. It was so strange in the beginning to have no keys, when you started to drive and first thing was, that I needed to find a place to where I could put the keys. Later, when handbrake was need to be used, I just tried to find it and could not. When I found another bottom and so easy it was. It just felt much harder in the first place.

In the end, after long day with driving, I felt good. After I had left the car with next driver and went to get my own car, it was strange to sit in and start to drive, but it went very fast over. I am so much used to drive with my Bluey :)

Christmas tablecloth,

Today I have sit behind my dear embroidery machine started to make more Christmas presents and our own home decorations. Today I made a nice elfs. One of the motive what I really like. Last year I made that same motive on curtains for my aunt in Estonia and she liked them :)

 

Finally it is weekend!

It is Friday evening and weekend has arrived. Morning started with work as usually and after that it was time to come home and make some preparations for the evening.
As it was, that in the beginning of the month I turned a year older, when
It was during work week and could not party much in the evening and so we had pizza and nice evening. We made agreement that this weekend we will have potato salad Instead, since that is one of the traditional birthday food in Estonia. So after our workday I went to shop and bought ingredients and salad making could start.

Must admit one thing. I love the Estonian potato salad compared with the traditional one here in Sweden. It tastes so different and misses so many ingredients.
Now in the evening we got visit also from our friends. They had even a present for me and for my iPhone what I did got a week ago. I got a docking station for my phone. And the best part is - I can now listen even Estonian radio stations and do not need only computer to listen radio :)
Now we having nice candlelight evening with my husband and soon it will be bed what is waiting me since tomorrow will be new day and plans.

Our small birthday cat,

 

It has been 4 years, that this small cute hair-boll has been in this world. With us has she been 1 year and 9 months. It has been very good time for us. We can't imagine our days without her. Happy birthday our Greta :-)

Today I sat behind my embroidery machine again and made some preparations for Christmas. I tried another pattern for Christmas napkin rings. They will make our Christmas table nicer as well I think.

SyFestivalen and Stockholm,

November has soon arrived to half a month and I just have not had much time to write into my blog. So, now I try to fix that thing, at least I will try.
Last weekend I and Kristi took a small trip to Stockholm. Like in the April, as well now in beginning of November was SyFestival - Sewing fair. This time only in Stockholm and we both liked it, when it was here, so we made decision - We will spend a weekend in Stockholm during 5 and 6th November.
I had booked us an hotel room in our visit to Stockholm.
Our morning started quite early and same time not very early. Around half past 7 I woke up and made myself ready for trip and an hour later I just left home to pick up Kristi as well. After that our trip towards Stockholm could start. Trip was long, but with small breaks and driver change - we managed it well.
First stop was Sewing fair. One thing we could see right a way, was that it was much bigger than it was here in Jönköping in the spring. I had got before fair also their catalog at home and made marks, what I would like to see and visit and Kristi looked it also on the road. The things what interested me the most, I had marked, but that did not mean that I did not want to see all the mess. When we saw how bit it was, I knew tight away that my moneybag will have funeral after that fair. There was so much interesting things. I bought some fabric and patterns and of course - embroidery patterns.  Can't live with out them :)
We spent there a lot of time, but it was quality time. We both at least felt so. An hour before fair was closed, we felt that now we are tired as well and decided to drive to hotel.
We spent our night at Scandic hotel in Kungens Kurva. Hotel was nice. Room was OK. At least for us, who needed that room just for sleep :) Of course, we as owners of cleaning company, was also look bit how clean room was, and we saw some dust, but we survived it ;)
Later in the evening we met with one more Estonian boy here in Sweden. We had dinner at Chinese restaurant. Food was good :) As usually, that is not something new :) Later we drank some more wine at the hotel and since day had been long and made us bit tired, when we decided to go to sleep just before midnight. At least we had good time and we was very satisfied.

A year older,

Today has been a day, when I got a year older. Hufff, just remembered how it was to be in kindergarten and now, years later we have our own company, married and so on and on. Time just flies and just can't understand where it goes.

It has been wonderful day for me. Morning started with birthday cake in bed with coffee and juice. Even a nice present I got from my husband. A calligraphy pencils. Now, I just need ink and ready to use :)

After breakfast it was time for work. Met my dear colleague in city and we enjoyed a nice breakfast together, since cake was only breakfast I got in the morning, so, breakfast in Bernard's and after that it was work what was needed to be done.

Now in the evening I spent time with my husband and sat bit behind my embroidery machine. Later got visit from my colleagues and had bit pizza and wine. Soon it is time for me to go to bed, since tomorrow will be another work day and after that quite busy weekend will arrive :) Time for us to visit a SyFestival in Stockholm :)

Christmas napkin ring,

Today I started to prepare for Christmas :) I know. It is just in the beginning of November, but if I would like to have something ready for Christmas, when I should start now.

Towel for wedding present,

My husbands colleague was got married in summer. Since they got married in secret, we had first hen party last week. Today she got a present from all girls as well. I had made a nice personal towel with their names and wedding date. If you would like to have something similar, when just feel free to contact me :)

6 wonderful months,

Today me and my husband have been married for half a year. Again we can see how time just flies. Not long time ago, we had pre-wedding stress, since  so much was still to do for the wedding and for the wedding dinner.
Now after all of it, we just can remember and walk back on memories, how wonderful time we had on our wedding day and in our short honeymoon.

Now, I have lived here together with my husband for two years and we have been married half a year. It feels good. Our relationship has had some big tests, but still we have managed to hold our relationship together and that has been very good. In the end we both are happy with each other and love each other. What more should we want from it. Even thought some tests has been big and some painful, still as long as we are together and having each other, as long we can we beat all tests.
Love you my dear and thank you for the wonderful time I have had together with you and all wonderful memories we have got together. Thank you that you are in my life and making it brighter every day!

Active Saturday,

It has been very wonderful and nice day. Outside has been sunny and it has been nice autumn weather. That has made that we could have a small active Saturday.

On the other hand in the morning we took long sleeping morning, but anyway we woke up just before 9. After breakfast we packed our things and was ready to our trip to countryside to my father-in-law.
First stop  in Falköping was to my favorite fabrik shop and I could not left it without buy some fabric with me :) I wonder sometimes - can I leave a fabric shop without to buy some with me :D Answer is - NEVER :P :)

After arriving to my father-in-law, we had some coffee and sandwich and time to change tires on car. Just before that, I got a new friend :) My friend was yeallow and white colored and had 4 legs and tail. I tried to feed her with sausage :D My husband just teased me.

After that I went and help my husband with changeing tires and cleaned our car. Now it is looking nice and clean and will be ready in Saturday to take a trip to Stockholm :)

Now, I will go help to fix some dinner and enjoy a wonderful evening with my family.

Since I made to us personal towels at home, I decided also to make a personal bath towels for us. Mine is ready and soon will be my husbands ready as well. Size for that bath towel is 70x100 cm.

Yesterday evening I took time and made homepage what is about just my handwork only. Right now I have written there only in Swedish, but I hope that soon I can add there also Estonian language and English. It just needs bit time :) All the things what is up on homepage can also order. The material, colors and so on, will be from work to work and therefore easier to get more about information by mail. New set personal towels,

Today I have been took time to me and for my hobby again. After work I came home and started to embroider. I have made 3 sets hand towels for myself and for my husband. It looks actually nice now downstairs in our bathroom. As with others, also them can be ordered if someone else would love to decor and personalize own bathroom.

Weekend,

Soon weekend is over and new week is starting. This weekend has been flied somehow again very fast, but they say, that you do not notice any time, when you have good company around you. And we did had it. We made a visit to Varberg and visited there my husbands cousin.
We went there Friday evening and came home today. Since in Friday we arrived late, we stayed in. On the other hand yesterday, we did had some visits outside as well. After the breakfast we went to Varberg. I had never been there. On the net I had found out that there is one shop in Varberg, what I would liked to visit and we did it. Unfortunately they had in only Husqvarna Viking's things and nothing from Pfaff, but I bought some thread at least, since they had very good choice of thread rolls what had more than one color in roll.
After we visited bit some other shops in town and took a small walking trip to castle. Pictures about it I will put up during upcoming week.
Later we spend afternoon at home and played bit and after dinner we went to play some bowling and pool. In bowling I was very lousy, but at least in pool, I was not :) Then I helped my team to win in first game and second came we would not end, since they closed the place.
Today we came back at home. Sometimes GPS shows easiest way, but the longes one. On the other hand, I saw bit new places and we could just enjoy the nice autumn weather.
It has been nice weekend and all who got small presents, did liked them :) So, that made us happy and smile :)

Another personal towel,

Yesterday I got a small order for another personal tower. This time it is white and I chose thread color something, what is easy to see.

Cloth for bread basket,

Another thing I made today was cloth for the bread basket. I usually like then brad in basket is covered with something, since that hold bread also bit longer time fresh and soft.
For this cloth I used linen fabric. End size is 45x45 cm. Also something personal and different.

Personal towel,

In this weekend, me and my dear husband are going to visit his cousin and his family. Since I never have been there before yet and small tradition in Estonia is, that if you are going to visit someone for the first time, you will take a small present with.
I had long time to think, what kind of present I should take with me. When I got an idea, that why not to do something personal instead from the shop things, because from shop everyone can go and buy self what they want. So, I decided to make something, what comes from heart. One of the thing is towels to them, with their own name on. Something different as usual and same time it is personal as well.
So, if someone wants the same kind of personal present, just contact me and when it will be fixed :) It goes fast and is nice as well.

Melody,

Today me and my love got home new coffee machine. It earns its name. Looks out like a small ufo, with its round body. The easy one to use and has many possible coffee tastes and that was what made us to choose it :) We have talked a while about to have a capsule machine. It was not plan that we buy it today, we planned to wait until to sale after the Christmas, but when we went to shop today to return some things, what did not work properly and we had got new instead them, when there was demonstration of Dolce Gustos capsule machines and prices was a lot lower that usually, so we made fast decision to have it now, since we saved over half a thousand crowns and that counts a lot.
We have run the test drive and it works very well :) That does not mean, that our other ordinary coffee maker will be thrown out. It will be used when we are more persons and we need to make more coffee. Me on the other hand, getting faster my latte or cappuccino :)

4 Childrens Rights,

Today all over in Sweden was campaign for at collect money for Worlds Children organization in Sweden, so that they could help children, who is needing help.
So, in the morning we met in farmers market with others, who was willing to help us to collect money. As we planned after last week, when today we started bit later. Now, after the day, I can say that it was quite good decision, since it was bit warmer, but also, more people was game to market.
We was today 7 persons and we managed to collect totally 9042 crowns. That made us feel very good. Total amount we gathered with 2 Saturdays, when we collected money is: 14 330 crowns. That made us to feel good. That also was made, we got more  money than last years collection. When it was ca 10,5 thousand crowns.
Now we just have to transfer that money to the right place where it can and will make more use.
Now,we just have to wait next year and see, what will be result then :) Hopefully it will be another good year and result will be bigger than this years ;)

Small keybag,

Today I was at the small inspiration evening in Jönköping. First we tried some freehand quilting. After that we tried to sew small bag with zipper to keys. For me, it was actually something good, since I always have problem to sew the zipper on clothes and it has never been any success. Today, It was different. I got to try a different kind of foot while I sewed the zipper. I used edge foot and that made it easier to sew zipper. So when I get my new sewing machine, when I will definitely want that foot as well for it. It was very good asset for trying to sew.

Two years in Sweden,

Congratulations for me. Today it has been 2 years from the day I moved here in Sweden. I can say, time just flies or at least it feels so for me. Can't believe that it is already two years, since so many things has been happened during this short time period.

Last year me and Kristi started our own company, what has grown during this year as well. Last year I was became a member for Lions Club in Jönköping and this year I got honor to be a sponsor for new member in our club. Last year me and my partner got engaged, this year in spring we had a wonderful wedding. That list could be continued for a long time.
During that 2 years we have had, we have had ups and downs, but most of all I am very happy for the people who is around me - my friends, family and some other good people around me. I am very thankful for all of them. It has helped a lot me to have those good and warm hearted persons around me.
It will be interesting to see, what will next year bring with it. I hope it will bring some more good things and happy news :) I believe, that the work we do for it, will be paid off and it goes as we hope.
So, I am just very happy for the 2 years here in Sweden and want to say thank you to all of you, who are in my life and thank you for my dear husband. Love you all.

Kitchen curtains,

Today I have took bit time from studies and work and my other things and I have sat behind my embroidery machine and sewed new kitchen curtains to our home, since it is autumn and I thought that kitchen should have also different curtains during autumn instead flowers.
Today's curtains got the pattern from one of the new embroidery collection what comes from Inspira. That certain pattern what I used on my kitchen curtains is called: Kitchen Art. Those curtains is made from linen.
