All Souls' Day

Couple of days ago, on the 2nd of November, we celebrated All Souls' Day. Day where all people, who had passed away was remembered just with a lighting a candles.
Bit about history of that day:
In Western Christianity, All Souls' Day commemorates the faithful departed. This day is principally observed in the Catholic Church, although some churches of the Anglican Communion and the Old Catholic Churches also celebrate it. The Eastern Orthodox churches observe several All Souls' Days during the year. The Roman Catholic celebration is based on the doctrine that the souls of the faithful which at death have not been cleansed from the temporal punishment due to venial sins, or have not fully been purged from attachment to mortal sins, cannot attain the beatific vision in heaven yet, and that they may be helped to do so by prayer and by the sacrifice of the Mass. In other words, when they died, they had not yet attained full sanctification and moral perfection, a requirement for entrance into Heaven. This sanctification is carried out posthumously in Purgatory. The Western celebration of All Souls' Day is on 2 November.
In Estonia, we used to celebrate it every year on the 2nd of November. So did I also here in my new home. Since I could not visit the graveyard and tend a light there, when I was instead tend a light at home. Thad subsidiary can be used as well and it is to be honest, quite common to use, since often the graveyards are further away and not close to visit and then instead it will be visit in weekend. I think, that it is quite nice memory, to light a candle and remember those, who are passed away.

Halloween,

Happy Halloween to everyone!
So, today is the Halloween day in many places. I got to know, that here in Sweden, that is not celebrate it as it is done most other countries in the World. Here, in Sweden, people will visit graveyard and will light a candle in their family members graves, who has been passed other side. That was something new for me at least, since I really thought that here is celebrating people also Halloween with pumpkins as many other countries are doing and with vampires. Here in the evening children will run to get candies and if they do not get anything, when they will be make some tricks. So, now can see, does anyone comes also to here to run and trick the candy :=) It would be my first experience here :)
Our first Halloween together with my boyfriend will be celebrated as Indian evening. Just to have something different. We will have Indian food and music and also Indian whisky and beer. It will be fun and also it will be interesting. Since I do love food from different continentals. It is nice to learn different kitchens and how they taste :)

Just another friday,

Here I am. Soon have lived at my new home 3 weeks. This time has passed quite fast so far, but I also have done a lot of things here. I have done personal security number, I have done new Swedish Id-card, opened bank account and so on and on...
Compared how things are here in Sweden and they are in Estonia, when there is quite big difference. In Estonia we are used more to use E-government. Here seems like they don't even know what it is. All here seems to go by filling papers. It feels like bureaucracy is still going here on, but so far I have survived.
Also have found small things to do, but at least it is something and that makes me feel like I am a human, and still can do some things. It feels nice and good.
Tomorrow is Halloween evening. In Estonia it has been started lately to celebrate, here seems traditions be bit longer. We will celebrate it as well at our home. Only thing is, that we will celebrate it bit untraditionally. Instead pumpkins, candies, blood, vampires and so on, we will have Indian evening with Bollywood music and Indian food. We will celebrate it together with friends and just enjoy nice and cosy evening together. It will be nice, since always is good to see friends and spend time with them.
So, now I will also close my pc down for tonight. Will go sleep, since tomorrow comes quite long day, and I have to prepare the dessert for us :P Hopefully it will taste well :P It should be, if it comes out as I want it to come out:P
